A priest against the Mob – Don Peppe Diana
A priest against the Mob - Don Peppe Diana
Don Giuseppe “Peppe” Diana was only thirty-five when he was murdered by the Camorra, one of the oldest and most powerful Mafia organisations in Naples.

Christmas 1991, in Casal di Principe. His manifesto “For the Love of My People” was read aloud in every parish: words of hope and resistance that condemned the Mafia mentality and rejected resignation to a criminal system, but also words that would seal his fate. One morning in March 1994, Don Peppe Diana was shot dead in his sacristy, just before celebrating Mass. As a parish priest who defied the Mafia with faith and words, his martyrdom endures as a living witness of the Gospel against the Mafia.
