Vices and Virtues. From Giotto to Pope Francis
VICES AND VIRTUES. FROM GIOTTO TO POPE FRANCIS by Dario Edoardo Viganò
An intimate conversation with Pope Francis, inspired by Giotto’s masterful frescoes in Padua’s Scrovegni Chapel.

The conversation takes inspiration from the never-ending tension between vices and virtues. This documentary traces a compelling spiritual journey from Wrath to Despair, and from Faith to Charity, guided by the delicate balance between the seven deadly sins and the seven heavenly virtues.

“We’ve fallen into a culture of adjectives and forgotten the nouns” the Pope remarks. “Let us not forget that we are people. It is more important to be human than to be labeled by virtues or vices. God loves the person, not the label.”

With a tone that is both fresh and profoundly sincere, this documentary offers a cinematic path of contemplation, where each viewer is sure to discover something deeply personal and universally human.
